Sauber’s Performance At FIA Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix

The Sauber F1 team turned out to be stronger as it showed its best performance at the Austrian Grand Prix. Both drivers successfully finished in the points. From P17 Charles Leclerc made a good start and achieved numerous positions. The race was although hampered when he went wide on 2nd lap and was back to P19. Since then he began to prepare himself to come back strong and fought his way into the midfield. Besides, it was a great Grand Prix for another strong racer Marcus Ericsson. Throughout the race, he continued to remain consistent. He started from P18 and gradually moved in a progressive direction to finish the race. He scored points twice in this season.

As far as the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 is concerned, the team leaves Austria with 3 points with Charles Leclerc, who finishes with 2 points in P9 and Marcus Ericsson with one point in P10. The team currently holds the 9th position in the Constructors Championship with 16 points. Charles Leclerc in the Drivers Championship presently holds P14 with 13 points and Marcus Ericsson achieved 3 points in P18. As per Ericsson, the race was great as he felt comfortable while driving and continued strong pace right from the beginning of the race. Their strategy did work well and they had another quick pit stop from mechanics. It is good that both cars finished with good points and the team is quite happy. They are now looking forward to their favorite track which is Silverstone.

It was equally exciting for Charles Leclerc as despite of falling back after a few laps, there was tough action seen with best overtakes. Both cars finished in the top 10 which is a motivation for all teams. They are now focused to continue in the same direction to drive in the upcoming races.
